The Andaz in Ottawa has the best view in Ottawa, so I was excited to try their monthly brunch event Beats and Brunch this month. Taking place on the last Sunday of every month on the 16th floor on their rooftop lounge Copper Spirits and Sights the event runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Beats and Brunch is a dress to impress event, with a DJ, where you can order glasses of champagne to have a canape breakfast overlooking the parliament buildings and downtown Ottawa.
For brunch you can either sit indoors or on the breathtaking outdoor patio, both offering fantastic views of the city. When I visited the weather was a beautiful sunny day, so we sat outdoors at one of the larger cabanas that have a firepit.
For brunch chef Stephen La Salle offers a brunch in bite size form. The excellent brunch offers a food station inside where you can select fresh pastries or help yourself to the cheese and charcuterie board. My personal favorite dishes would have to be the canapes which the waiters bring to your table, from mini French toast, tuna, or even mojito popsicles the diverse range of dishes were elegant and delicious.
While sipping on a glass of champagne overlooking the city, and listening to some fresh beats with some of my friends, it was easy to decide that Beats and Brunch is my new favorite brunch in Ottawa. The hip and luxurious setting made me feel more like I was dining in New York City, so I’m beyond grateful The Andaz Ottawa started offering brunch events like this in Ottawa this year.
The trendy Bubbles Beats and Brunch events typically have a waitlist, for those eager to enjoy the brunch. To make sure you can attend next month, reserve your table by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
