Now that I have a bunch of glitter Easter eggs I needed to showcase them, so I though a cake stand would be the perfect solution as it would give a bit of height to the eggs, and could double as a centerpiece on my dining room table if I’m lacking fresh flowers on the table. Picking up on the teal color I used on some of the eggs, I grabbed one bunny statue, a plate and some paint to make my own bunny cake stand perfect for Easter.
DIY BUNNY CAKE STAND
I headed to the dollar store and grabbed a standard sized dinner plate and one small bunny statue. Ideally you are looking for a bunny with a nice wide flat top, to offer the most structural support to your cake stand. To assemble the plate onto the bunny I placed hot glue but something like E6000 or other strong glue that works on ceramic could be used too. As you can see the rabbit’s head isn’t perfectly flat, so it might be necessary to put a bit of extra glue on the lower areas to even everything out so that the plate sits flat.
Once the plate has dried onto the bunny spray 2-3 coats of spray paint, for mine I used Rust-oleum Painter’s Touch in glossy teal.
