Celebrate all the wonderful memories of 2014, and all the promise 2015 brings, by raining down confetti this New Year’s Eve with these DIY confetti cones. Grab some cardstock and in minutes you can have your own set of confetti cones and cone stand to hold the cones until midnight.
DIY CONFETTI CONES
To begin take a piece of paper and cut it into 4 squares. Using a regular 8.5×11″ piece of cardstock the black sheet of paper was cut into 4 squares of 4×4″.
Take one sheet of paper and turn it so it is a diamond, one corner over, and fold over the opposite side so that it overlaps. Use a strong craft glue like E600 or a hot glue gun to glue the overlapping parts of the paper together to hold the sheet in the cone shape.
The cone should look like this once the glue has set.
Next for the cone stand take some sort of small box, such as a cereal box, or in this case a box of Kleenex was used. The box was wrapped up with wrapping paper and using a small paring knife Xs were cut into the top of the box so that the cones could be placed into the holes.
Here you can see the cones in the box stand.
The final confetti cones are ready for your New Year’s Eve party (or whatever other future celebrations you might have later one)!
