Ravens are often depicted in mythology, such as in Norse mythology they are seen as a sign of evil while in some Celtic gods were believed to turn into ravens to eat human flesh so I decided to make a raven wreath perfect for Halloween, or die-hard Edgar Allan Poe fans. Best of all to make this wreath you only need 2 things from the dollar store and a few minutes so if you are looking for last-minute Halloween decor give this DIY a Halloween wreath a try.
DIY Halloween Raven Wreath
To make the wreath you will need a grapevine wreath and a very long black feather boa. If needed you can use several short feather boas together to ensure proper coverage of the wreath.
To start I slipped one of the ends of the boa into the grapevine wreath and began wrapping the feathers around the wreath.
Continue tightly wrapping the boa around the grapevine wreath so that it is densely covered. If desired you can always stick in additional black feathers into the wreath by sticking the end of the feathers into the grapevine.
When you are done wrapping the boa slip the end of the boa into the grapevine wreath. To hang your wreath either lean it against a wall or use a nail in the wall to hold the wreath up. After Halloween is over you can unwind the feather boa from the grapevine as it wasn’t glued down so that you can use the same grapevine wreath for another holiday, such as Christmas.
