For Halloween I wanted to create a stunning candlelight centerpiece to enhance the ambience of the candy table I was going to be setting up so I thought to make an arrangement of black candles in wine bottles using spray paint.
DIY Spooky Halloween Candle Centerpiece
To start you will need to gather wine bottles and soak them in water until the labels peel off. Once the bottles have dried place them outside on a drop cloth and place half the bottles on one side of the drop cloth and the other half on the other side. To paint the wine bottles I used Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in gloss black for half of the bottles and matt black spray paint for the other remaining bottles
To paint the bottles I needed to apply 2 coats of paint on each side of the wine bottles. Here you can see after one coat the wine bottles already had a very even finish. Once the painted wine bottles dried I stuck a black candle into the top of each bottle and my spooky candle centerpiece was done.
I love how the candle light reflects off the glossy bottles and matt bottles provide contrast to the glossy ones. Placed overtop of my spider web tablecloth I’m all ready to set the table with bowls of candy for a super chic Halloween table decor.
