DIY St. Patrick’s Day Tee

DIY St. Patrick's Day Tee

If you are looking for a new cute tee to wear for St. Patrick’s Day this one is for you. Based upon “kiss me I’m Irish” I designed a kiss me I’m lucky perfect for those of you who aren’t Irish.

To start print the kiss me I’m lucky template, and cut out the design on clear contact paper. You could also cut out the design onto freezer paper (but it can be harder to find in some countries and you will need to later iron on the design to get it to stick tot he shirt). Stick the cut contact paper in the middle of your shirt where you would like the text to go. Make sure that the contact paper is really stuck on so press firmly on the contact paper on all edges to prevent the paint from later bleeding through.

Before you start painting you will need to place several paper towels to prevent the paint from the top of the shirt going through the fabric onto the back side of the shirt.

Using a sponge paint brush I painted the design in using Martha Stewart Craft paint which is an acrylic paint that works on fabric, but you could use an other acrylic paint with fabric medium mixed in instead.

Once the paint has dried pull off the contact paper and your shirt is ready to go.
