According to Heavenly Honey, their honey is an organic antioxidant, filled with vitamins and enzymes.
I recently picked up their jar of creamed honey, which was $9 for 500g, and their cute honey bear, which was also $9.
Both were delicious, but I have to admit the classic honey won for me. I’m using it all the time in my tea or baked goods as a sweetener.
Every time I reach for the plastic honey bear, I can’t help but smile as it has a face mask in response to COVID.
Compared to honey I’ve purchased in the past, I notice a drastic difference; it has a more complex flavour with subtle floral notes. It is hard to describe the subtle difference, but the price isn’t much more than a massively produced brand. I know I don’t mind paying a bit more to help support our local entrepreneurs.
If you don’t want to go searching multiple grocery stores to get your honey bear that is so 2020, you can also buy one online. But the shipping fees are relatively expensive. Here in Ottawa, it is $11.39+, so it would be better to call your local grocery store to save money.
