See + Do
Magens Bay Beach – this is the top place you need to visit while in St. Thomas, go swim and enjoy a day in the sun
Charlotte Amalie – the small town has enough shopping options if you are looking for jewelry or souvenirs
Mountain Top – famous for having the ‘world’s famous banana daiquiris’, expect to pay twice as much here compared to the other smaller bars. Past the bar and souvenir store the reason to come is for the tremendous view of St. Thomas with Magens Bay Beach below.
St. Peter’s Greathouse – I went here for lunch and was able to try an assortment of traditional local dishes. There are several raised lookouts that offer nice views around St. Thomas, and a small garden you can walk around.

For lunch at the Greathouse, I tried a variety of the local dishes including salt fish, beef patty, pumpkin soup, Jonny cakes, rum cakes, and coconut turnovers.
Typically I hate banana drinks, but I actually really enjoyed all the banana daiquiris I had in St. Thomas. I spent a bit of time talking to the bartender to learn how to make some the most popular drinks, here you can see her making the famous banana daiquiris.
Over 7 million banana daiquiris sold from Mountain top!
Here is the main reason I came to Mountain Top, check out this amazing view.
This was the second US Virgin island I’ve had the pleasure to visit and it certainly was a fun mini getaway for a short stay.
