Cafe My House is an incredible restaurant in Hintonburg if you are looking for upscale vegan dining. The all vegan menu is approachable for vegan and non-vegans alike with the menu listing familiar dishes such as chicken and waffles and eggs and sausage.
Briana Kim the chef and owner of Cafe My House, offers a cozy and casual environment with expertly prepared dishes. This year she will be competing in the Gold Medal Plates in November. Past winners include Joe Thottungal of Coconut Lagoon in 2016 and Marc Lepine of Atelier in 2015.
Cafe My House offers a casual neutral dining environment allowing the food to be the focal point. For those looking for innovative vegan food, brunch costs between $10-38, lunch and dinner entrees $23 to $27, and the blind tasting menus are $55 for the 5 course and $80 for the 9 course.
Opting for brunch, I’ve visited twice now where I’ve tried the chicken and waffles sandwich, a beautifully plated avocado toast on sourdough bread, and my personal favorite the biscuit and sausage which is apple-sage sausage, biscuit, smoked tomato puree, hollandaise and deviled egg – which yes is 100% vegan.
As a non-vegan, it is the beautifully plated dishes and skillfully crafted dishes that have me returning.
